Club activities are run from Killeavy Stables in Wilmot. Club members may particpate in the WVPC camp and Nova Scotia Pony club Quiz , Dressage, Show Jumping and Rally activites.  Past members have qualified and participated in National Tetrathalon, Jumping, Dressage and Quiz competitions. The Canadian National youth representatives for 2007-2009 was a WVPC member.

West Valley runs a stable management program available to youth without access to a horse. This program allows younger members interested in horses to learn how to take care of horses, parts of horses/tack and lead a horse. It is an economical, practical program for parents to foster their childs interest in horseship skills and meeting youth with the same interest. This program allows members to test at the National Pony Club stable management level, participate in quiz competitions, badge program, attend camp, and all club social activities.

West Valley supports a full Canadian pony club progam for members owning or leasing a horse. It includes stable management lectures and riding lessons in Dressage, Jumping and Cross Country and camp. Testing completed in each of the above disciplines is encouraged but not required. The club delivers clinics and participates in the N.S. Regional Rally, Dressage, Show jumping, Prince Philip Games, Tetrathlon and Quiz competitions
